Keep Your Eye on the Ball...

Yesterday the Wisconsin Badgers pounded the Minnesota Gophers.  Late in the game, with a 25 point lead, the Badgers decided to go for two points after scoring yet another touchdown.  This caused quite a bit of conversation over the radio broadcast and in all the post-game commentaries.  My take, if you don't like the Badgers going for two points, then don't let them score touchdowns.  How about developing a football program that isn't the anchor of the Big Ten?  Tim Brewster is our coach and he will be fired at the end of this season, as will the Athletic Director, Joel Maturi - who had the wisdom to reward Brewster with a contract extension at the end of last year.

Brewster's best line is after losing several games against lessor opponents he said, "We are just a couple of plays from being 3-0."  There is being optimistic, and then there is being delusional.  Brewster has been a very poor hire for the U.  No matter of spinning can change that reality.
