I have two responses to this. My first is, "Thank God" this joker is gone. I think he should have to pay back the millions we have given him, but then I live in an alternate universe...
My second response is "there but for the grace of God go I". I have had some jobs where I performed in a manner that probably had parents wishing that I would be sacked right away. The coach in me does feel a tiny bit for this guy who got in way over his head and just floundered.
The athletic director, who did hire Tubby Smith to save our basketball program, needs to do much better. I still can't fathom how the AD saw fit to give Brewster an extension last year. Brewster can talk, talk, talk, but he has never been a coordinator or a head coach. Boy, what was Joel Maturi thinking when he made that hire.
Rambling thoughts on books, politics, history, and anything else that pops up...
