Here the local power company is replacing a power pole that is leaning to the north quite noticeably. What wonderful people to work in the dark so that we got power back in the middle of the night.
This is a poor picture. You can't tell from this shot, but this tree was also topped by the storm. Limbs and branches from the top half of the tree are everywhere.
I am looking south here. There used to be a fence where I am standing, but it blew down. Across the yard, and the drooping power lines, on the other side of the fence is the bottom half of a tree that was topped by the storm.A "micro-burst" came through our neighborhood on Thursday at around 11:30 a.m. This storm was most unusual because the wind was from the south. Most of the time our storm winds come from the west or northwest.
